CCIE Attending Chengdu Enterprises Overseas Development Promotion Seminar
In order to make the foreign affairs work more targeted and more efficient in serving enterprises and create a platform of communication and explore more areas for overseas development for the export-oriented enterprises in Chengdu, Chengdu Municipal Foreign Affairs Office held the Chengdu Enterprises Overseas Development Promotion Seminar on August 13, 2012. Representatives from relevant municipal departments and key enterprises involved in international business at township and city level attended the seminar.
At the seminar, Director General of Foreign Affairs Management Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC, Mr. Lin Songtian gave a keynote speech titled “Opportunities and Challenges Facing Enterprises in Seeking Overseas Development” where he vividly analyzed the situations, opportunities and challenges facing enterprises in seeking overseas development with abundant data and materials, greatly broadening the vision on how foreign affairs work can better serve and support the enterprises to adopt the “go global” strategy.
Some business representatives from Consulate General of foreign countries in Chengdu introduced and promoted the investment policies of their country and exchanged views with entrepreneurs attending the seminar. Relevant departments concerning foreign affairs introduced overseas investment risk management and ways to handle legal disputes. Chengdu Municipal Foreign Affairs Office briefed the channels and manners of foreign affairs in promoting overseas development for enterprises.
Vice President of CCIE, Mr. Xu Chenhui attended the seminar at the invitation of the organizer and accepted interviews, on behalf of enterprises at site, from several media including China News Agency, China Economic Times, Sichuan Daily and Chengdu Daily.
